Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with “Stardew Valley” again. I hadn’t played in a while and figured I’d try to catch some different fish. I remembered reading about this one called the Tiger Trout, so I thought, “Why not?”
First, I loaded up my game and checked the in-game calendar. The wiki said Tiger Trout are only around in the Fall and Winter, and it was already Fall, so that was good. I grabbed my fishing rod and some bait and headed out. I remembered reading that they hang out in the rivers, so I decided to start at the river in Pelican Town.
I walked over to the river and cast my line. I waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. I tried a few different spots along the river, moving up and down, trying different casting angles. Still nothing. I was starting to get a little annoyed, to be honest. I spent the whole morning fishing there and literally didn’t catch one Tiger Trout.
Then, I decided to try the river in Cindersap Forest. I hiked over there, which took a bit of time, and found a nice spot by the water. I cast my line again. And guess what? Still nothing! I was getting really frustrated at this point. I fished there for another couple of hours, but still no Tiger Trout.
Then I remembered something I read online about a specific spot in Cindersap Forest. It was on that little island below Leah’s house, the one between the two bridges. I figured it was worth a shot, so I walked over there. I found a spot on the right side of the island and cast my line toward the deeper, darker part of the water.
And BAM! Finally, I felt a bite that was different from the usual fish. I reeled it in, and there it was – a Tiger Trout! It was so satisfying to finally catch one after all that effort. I fished there for a bit longer and actually managed to catch a few more. It seems like that spot is a real hotspot for them.
My tips for you if you try this out:
- Make sure it’s Fall or Winter: These are the only seasons you will find the tiger trout.
- Head to the river: Either the one in Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest. I find the one in Cindersap Forest better, but others seem to prefer the Pelican Town river.
- Try the island: Specifically, the one below Leah’s house in Cindersap Forest.
- Cast to the right: From the right side of the island, aim towards the deeper water.
- Be patient: It might take a while, but don’t give up!
So yeah, that’s how I finally caught a Tiger Trout in “Stardew Valley.” It took some time and a lot of patience, but it was worth it in the end. Hopefully, my experience can help some of you out there who are also trying to catch this tricky fish.
