Okay, here is a blog post about my experience with CM Punk and Finn Balor, written in the style you requested:

CM Punk vs Finn Balor: Who Will Win the Big Match?

So, I got this idea the other day to mess around with making some custom action figures. I’ve always been a huge wrestling fan, and lately, I’ve been watching a lot of older matches with CM Punk and some newer stuff with Finn Balor. These two are, like, some of my all-time favorites. Their styles are just so cool, you know? Anyway, I figured, “Why not try to make figures of these guys?” Seemed like a fun little project.

First thing I did was hit up a few stores, trying to find some basic figures I could use as a base. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy, just some generic wrestler bodies that I could repaint and modify. I ended up grabbing a couple of figures that looked like they would work. They weren’t perfect, but it’s all good – I knew I was gonna be changing a lot of stuff anyway.

Next up was gathering my supplies. I already had a bunch of acrylic paints from other random projects, so that was covered. But I needed some brushes, some sculpting tools, and a few other bits and pieces. I made a quick run to the craft store and picked up everything I thought I would need. Felt like I was getting ready for some serious art project, haha.

Starting with CM Punk

I decided to tackle CM Punk first. I mean, the dude has so many iconic looks, it was tough to choose one. Finally, I settled on his classic “Best in the World” look, with the black trunks and the X’s taped on his hands. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong.

I started by carefully taking the figure apart. This was way harder than I expected! Those things are put together tight. I used a small screwdriver and a pair of pliers to pry off the arms and legs. Then, I sanded down the whole body to get rid of the original paint job. This part took forever, and my hands were killing me afterward, but it had to be done.

Once that was sorted, I got to work on the painting. I used a tiny brush to paint the trunks black and then, very carefully, painted the X’s on the hands. It took a few coats to get it looking right. The head was the trickiest part. I had to sculpt his hair out of some clay, and then I painted his face. Let me tell you, painting those tiny details is no joke!

  • Took the figure apart (this was a pain)
  • Sanded down the whole body (my hands!)
  • Painted the trunks and the X’s on his hands
  • Sculpted the hair (clay is messy)
  • Painted the face (so many tiny details!)

Moving onto Finn Balor

After Punk, I started on Finn Balor. I decided to go with his “Demon” persona because, let’s be honest, it’s the coolest. This one was way more challenging than Punk. The body paint alone was a nightmare. I had to mix a bunch of different shades of red and black to get the right look. Then, I had to carefully paint all those intricate designs on his body.

The head was another challenge. I sculpted the demon horns and then painted the face paint. It was a lot of trial and error, but eventually, I got it looking pretty decent. I’m not gonna lie, I messed up a few times and had to start over. Patience is key with this stuff, man.

  • Mixed a ton of paints for the body paint
  • Painted the designs (this took forever!)
  • Sculpted the demon horns
  • Painted the face paint (so many mess-ups)

The End Result

Finally, after hours of work, I was done! I put the figures back together, and they actually looked pretty good! I mean, they’re not perfect, but for a first attempt, I was pretty happy with how they turned out. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun. I definitely learned a lot, and I’m already thinking about who I want to make next. Maybe AJ Styles? Or maybe someone old school like The Rock? We’ll see! It’s a cool little hobby, you know, and it’s a fun way to combine my love of wrestling with my creative side.
