Okay, so I wanted to get a handle on the South Carolina Gamecocks football team’s roster for this season. You know, see who’s playing where, who the starters are, that kind of thing. So, I decided to dig into the 2023 depth chart.
First, I started poking around online. I figured there’d be something official out there, maybe on the team’s website or some sports news sites. I did find some stuff, but some are not complete, I need a whole one.
Then, I thought, “I’ll check out some fan forums.” Those guys are usually super plugged in and have all the latest gossip and speculation.
After I had a general idea, I began to make a simple list of the main position and players.
- Quarterback: Write down the starter, then the backups.
- Running Back: Same deal. Who’s getting the most carries?
- Wide Receivers: Figured out the top 3-4 guys.
- Offensive Line: This one was tougher, had to piece it together.
- Defensive Line, Linebackers, Secondary: Did the same for each of these groups.
Finally I made a simple chart for the team!
It’s not perfect, and it’ll probably change throughout the season, but now I’ve got a pretty decent reference point for following the Gamecocks this year. Go Gamecocks!
