So, the Canadian Open 2024 just wrapped up. I was keeping a close eye on it this year, more than usual maybe.

Planned to maybe drive up, you know, make a weekend of it. But life happens, right? Ended up glued to the screen instead. Probably saved some cash anyway.
Getting Into It
Watched the first couple of rounds pretty steady. Weather looked a bit iffy early on, typical for that time of year up there I guess. Saw some guys start hot, others just couldn’t find their game. You always see that.
- Lots of chatter online: Following the feeds, everyone’s got an opinion, who’s gonna choke, who’s the dark horse.
- Coverage: Sometimes the TV coverage jumps around too much, you miss key shots. That bugs me.
By Friday, things started shaping up. Had my eye on a couple of players. One young guy, really ripping it. Then there were the usual big names, some doing okay, others… not so much. It’s funny how unpredictable golf is.
Remember that one hole? Think it was the 17th? Caused all sorts of problems. Saw guys hit great drives then just fall apart near the green. Brutal stuff to watch, but kinda compelling too.
The Weekend Grind
Saturday, moving day, always exciting. Leaderboard got real tight. Sunday was something else. Back and forth, leads changing hands. You could feel the pressure even through the TV.

The guy who won, man, he earned it. Had to sink some clutch putts down the stretch. Nerves of steel, I tell ya. Not gonna lie, I was pulling for someone else, but you gotta respect the performance.
So yeah, another Canadian Open done. Good tournament overall. Always enjoy watching the guys battle it out on those tough Canadian courses.
Maybe next year I’ll actually make the trip. Seeing it live is just different, you know? The sounds, the crowds… Anyway, back to the regular grind now.
