So, I kept seeing stuff about ‘Khabib’s house’. Not sure if people meant his actual crib or, you know, the whole setup, the environment where he became who he is. The mountains, the gym, that whole vibe. It got me thinking, not about mansions or anything fancy, but about building your own ‘house’, your own space to get things done.

It reminds me of when I decided I needed a proper workshop space. Wasn’t much, just a corner of the garage that was full of junk. Took me ages to even start.
Getting Started Was the Hard Part
First, I had to actually clear the space. Man, that was a weekend killer. Found stuff I forgot I even owned. Old paint cans, broken chairs, you name it. Just box after box of pure clutter. Dragged it all out, sorted what could be tossed, what maybe had some use.
Then, I needed a bench. Didn’t have money for a fancy one. Found some old lumber someone was throwing out. Measured it up, probably wrong the first few times. Got my old saw out, started cutting. It wasn’t pretty, legs were a bit wobbly at first. Had to shim it up with some cardboard. But it was a bench, made by me.
Tools were next. I didn’t have much.
- Grabbed the basics I already had: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers.
- Hit up a few garage sales over the next few weeks. Picked up an old vise for cheap.
- Someone gave me an old drill press that barely worked, but hey, it was something.
It wasn’t like one of those perfect workshops you see online. Far from it. It was cold in winter, dusty all the time. Lighting was terrible. But it was my spot.

Making it Work
I started small. Fixed a broken drawer handle. Built a simple shelf. Messed up plenty. Cut wood wrong. Stripped screws. Got frustrated. But every time I went back out there, into my space, it felt different. It felt like I could figure things out, even if it took longer and wasn’t perfect.
That’s kinda what the whole ‘Khabib’s house’ thing made me think about. It’s not always about the fancy address. It’s about carving out your own place, whether it’s a gym, a workshop, or just a quiet corner, where you put in the work. Your own little proving ground. Took a lot of sweat just to clear that garage corner, but yeah, felt good to have that space finally.
