Okay, so today I decided to mess around with Boothill’s light cones in Honkai Star Rail, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started off pretty clueless, just slapping on whatever I had, thinking, “Yeah, that’ll do.” Big mistake.
First, I jumped into the game and, naturally, headed straight to Boothill’s character screen. I clicked around until I found the light cone section – you know, the part where you can equip those cards that give stat boosts and special effects.
Initially, I just equipped the highest-star light cone I had. I figured more stars equaled better, right? Wrong. So, so wrong. My Boothill was hitting like a wet noodle. Enemies that should’ve been going down in a couple of hits were just standing there, laughing at me.
So, I backed out of the battle, feeling pretty defeated, and started doing some research. I looked, and looked, and looked. Finally, I found and understand some details.
Digging Deeper
- I learned that Boothill is all about Break Effect. The more Break Effect he has, the harder he hits when he triggers Weakness Break. It’s like, his whole thing.
- Then, I discovered that some light cones are specifically designed to boost Break Effect. Makes sense, right?
- Finally, I put all the pieces togather.
Armed with this newfound knowledge, I went back into the game and started experimenting. I swapped out my random 5-star light cone for a 4-star one that specifically boosted Break Effect. And wow, what a difference!
Suddenly, Boothill was a beast. Those same enemies that were giving me trouble before? They were crumbling. I even managed to clear a stage I’d been stuck on for days. All because I finally understood how light cones work with Boothill.
So, the moral of the story? Don’t be like me. Don’t just slap on any old light cone. Take the time to understand what your character needs and find a light cone that matches. It’ll save you a lot of frustration, trust me. From now, I will read and learn first, and then, do it.
