Okay, so today I decided to dive into some baseball stats, specifically looking at the Red Sox vs. Yankees game. I’ve always been a huge baseball fan, and these two teams are legendary rivals, so it’s always an exciting matchup.
Getting Started
First, I needed to find a good source for the data. I wanted something reliable and up-to-date, so I just did some searches.
Data Gathering
It had pretty much everything I was looking for: player names, batting stats (like hits, runs, RBIs), and pitching stats (like strikeouts, earned runs). I spent a good chunk of time just browsing through the information, checking out different players, and comparing their performances. It was really interesting to see how some players were totally on fire, while others were maybe having an off day.
Deep Dive into the Stats
I decided to get a little more organized.I started picking out some key players from both teams. Guys I’ve followed for a while, and some new faces that have been making waves. Then, I made my own lists:
- Player Name: Obviously, had to know who I was looking at.
- Batting Average: A classic stat, always good to see how often a player is getting hits.
- Home Runs: Because who doesn’t love a good homer?
- RBIs: How many runs a player has driven in. Super important for team success.
- Strikeouts (for pitchers): Gotta see how many batters they’re taking down.
- ERA (Earned Run Average): The lower, the better for pitchers.
It felt like a lot of information to record, I wrote them on the paper, and I can tell who is really standing out in the game.
Putting It All Together
