Okay, so I’ve been seeing Cory Sandhagen’s back tattoo popping up everywhere, and I finally decided to dive deep and figure out what the deal is. You know, one of those things you see all the time but never really look at?

First, I scrolled through a ton of his fight photos. Trying to get a good, clear shot of the whole thing was surprisingly tricky. They’re always moving, you know? Plus, sweat and sometimes, well, a bit of blood… It wasn’t exactly a glamorous research project.
Then I started digging around online. Lots of forums and fan pages had bits and pieces of info, but nothing concrete. People were speculating about the meaning, the style, all that. Some of it was pretty wild, honestly.
I finally found some decent close-up pictures from weigh-ins. Those were much better than the fight shots. I could actually see some details! It’s this huge, intricate piece, taking up most of his back.
Breaking It Down
- The main part seems to be a samurai figure.
- There are also some waves, it looks like japanese traditional waves.
- And also some cloud artwork, which is very beautiful.
I’m no expert on tattoo styles, So after all the searching and digging, it is really a masterpiece.
