Alright, so I wanted to put together a decent Free-to-Play (F2P) team in Honkai: Star Rail. I’ve been playing for a while, and while I’ve gotten lucky with some pulls, I wanted to see how far I could get with just the characters the game gives you for free.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed all the easily obtainable characters. You know, the ones you get through the story and just by playing. This gave me the base of my team:
- Trailblazer (Physical) – My starter, and honestly pretty good.
- March 7th – She provides shields, which are super important.
- Dan Heng– Good single target damge at early game.
- Asta – Provides support.
Buliding the team.
Then, I focus on leveling up all characters and lightcone, I spent some time figuring out which characters worked well together. After a lot of trial and error, I went for serval, and I’m get her from Forgotten * I start to focus on leveling up Traces and Relics, although it takes time I do think it is valuable.
The Strategy
I put March 7th as a very important role.
She can provide the shields, so the other can keep output damage, and do not need to consider survive problem. Trailblazer and Dan Heng are focused on damage.
It’s not a perfect team, and I definitely hit some walls, especially in the later Forgotten Hall stages. But, I was actually surprised how far I got with this F2P squad! It took some planning and careful resource management, but it was a fun challenge. It proves you don’t need all the fancy gacha characters to enjoy the game.
