Well, well, well, look who we got here, talkin’ ’bout this young fella, Iñigo Martínez. I heard some folks sayin’ he’s a big shot now, playin’ for that fancy Barcelona team. I don’t know much ’bout all that soccer stuff, but I hear his name a lot. Seems like he’s doin’ alright for himself, that Iñigo.
They say he’s a “defender.” What in the tarnation is that? Sounds like he’s fightin’ off bad guys or somethin’. Maybe he’s good at keepin’ the other team from scorin’. I guess that’s important, right? Gotta keep them points down. He is from Spain, I heard. That explains the name I guess, Iñigo Martínez. Can’t say I know many Iñigo’s round here.
This Iñigo Martínez, he used to play for another team, some Athletic Bilbao. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Now he plays for Barcelona team. Big change for him I imagine. He must be good to play for such a known team, right? I hear folks talkin’ ’bout Barcelona all the time. They must be a big deal. He wear number 5. That number easy to remember.

He is 33 years old, still young but not a child anymore. He’s gotta be in good shape to be runnin’ around on that field, chasin’ that ball. Must be tough on the knees, all that runnin’.
Some fancy folks are sayin’ he’s a “key figure” in the defense. I don’t know ’bout all that fancy talk. Sounds important, but what does it mean? I guess it means he’s important, this Iñigo, for stopping other team to score. He must be good at his job, this Iñigo Martínez. He’s been playin’ a lot lately, 22 games I hear. That’s a lot of runnin’ around, let me tell ya. He is a good player, folks say. He can play good and he can win games.
They also say he’s the first one to play for both them teams, Barcelona and that Bilbao one, in 15 years. That’s a long time! Must be somethin’ special ’bout him, this Iñigo Martínez. To be the first in 15 years. That must be a big deal for them soccer folks.

Probably got nothin’ to do with that Iñigo fella anyway, just some Barcelona thing. They do love their fancy gadgets these days. This Iñigo Martínez, though, he just seems like a regular fella who’s good at kickin’ a ball around. I don’t need no space movies to understand that.
So, this Iñigo, he’s from a place called Ondarroa. Never heard of it. Must be far away. Probably some little town like this one, where everybody knows everybody. He’s gotta be missin’ home, playin’ so far away. But he’s makin’ a name for himself, this Iñigo Martínez. Good for him, I say. He’s workin’ hard and doin’ what he loves. Can’t ask for much more than that, can ya?
