Alright, folks, let’s talk about Ramattra. I’ve been seeing him a lot in my games lately, and frankly, he’s been kicking my butt. So, I decided to buckle down and figure out how to deal with this walking, talking (and punching) robot. Here’s what I did, and what I learned.

Ramattra Counters: What to Look Out For in Fights!

Getting Started: Recognizing the Pain Points

First things first, I had to pinpoint exactly why I was struggling. It wasn’t just that he was “strong.” It was more specific than that.

  • His Nemesis Form. That thing is a beast. He just walks at you, punching, and it’s hard to get away.
  • His Vortex. Getting caught in that thing is a death sentence, especially for squishy characters like me (I’m a support main, don’t judge).
  • His Ultimate. “Annihilation” is just… terrifying. If you’re in it, you’re probably dead.

The Experimentation Phase: Lots of Dying

So, I started playing matches, specifically looking for Ramattra. Yeah, I died. A lot. But each death was a lesson (a painful, frustrating lesson, but a lesson nonetheless). I started trying different heroes, different strategies, different positions… basically throwing everything at the wall to see what stuck.

I quickly learned what didn’t work:

  • Trying to brawl with him in Nemesis Form. Nope. Just… nope. I tried to stand my ground as Ana, thinking I could sleep him. I could not.
  • Ignoring the Vortex. Thought I could just walk out of it as Lucio. I could not.
  • Grouping up during his Ultimate. Big mistake. Huge. We all died.
  • Using * against Ramattra.Big mistake, his punch can hit through *’s Defense Matrix.

Finding Some Success: Small Victories

After many, many failures, I started to see some glimmers of hope. Here’s what started to click:

  • Keeping my distance. This sounds obvious, but it’s crucial. Ramattra is a close-range monster. If you’re far away, he’s much less scary. I started playing more Widowmaker, and it helped.
  • Focusing fire. When he goes into Nemesis Form, my team and I started calling it out and focusing him down. He’s tough, but he’s not invincible.
  • Saving cooldowns for his Vortex. I main Moira, and I started saving my Fade specifically to escape his Vortex. It worked wonders.
  • Using ultimates to counter his ultimate. Sound Barrier, Transcendence, even a well-placed Mei wall – anything to mitigate the damage from Annihilation.

Putting It All Together: Less Dying, More Winning

Now, I’m not saying I’m a Ramattra-killing expert. I still have bad games. But, I’m definitely doing better. By combining distance, focused fire, smart cooldown usage, and strategic ultimate counters, I’ve managed to turn the tide (at least sometimes).

Ramattra Counters: What to Look Out For in Fights!

The biggest takeaway? Ramattra is strong, but he’s predictable. He wants to get close. He wants to punch you. He wants to use his Ultimate on a big group. If you can anticipate those things and play around them, you can win. And that, my friends, feels pretty darn good.
