I found the kiosk in Pop’s Plaza. This is where you order it, along with some other goodies like the Cannonball Burger and crab fries. I placed my order, and let me tell you, the anticipation was killing me.
Finally, the moment of truth arrived. They handed me this footlong behemoth, and my jaw dropped. This wasn’t just any hot dog; it was a culinary masterpiece. They piled it high with pot roast, mini pierogies, pickles, and onions.
I took that first bite, and oh boy, it was an explosion of flavors. It tasted like everything good about Pittsburgh stuffed into a bun. And the price? $14.99. It’s not cheap, but I gotta say, it was worth every penny. It will be sold until the All-Star break.
I learned that they named it after David Bednar’s walkout song, which is pretty cool. I also discovered that they’ve got some other interesting food options around the park, like a cheddar and chive bratwurst in Section 127 and a capicola-wrapped hot dog in Section 135. But for me, the Renegade Hot Dog was the real star of the show.
