Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Ming in the Basketball Hall of Fame crossword” thing pop up everywhere online, and I finally decided to give it a shot. I’m not a huge basketball fanatic, but I know the basics, and I do enjoy a good crossword puzzle.
First, I googled it. You know, just typed in “Ming in the Basketball Hall of Fame crossword” to see what would come up. I figured there would be some websites dedicated to crossword answers, or maybe some forums discussing it.
Turns out, I was right. I found a couple of those crossword-solver sites. They were pretty straightforward – you type in the clue, the number of letters, and any letters you already have, and it spits out possible answers.
The clue was, obviously, something like “Yao ____”. Since I knew we were talking about Yao Ming, I already knew I wanted “Ming”.
- I entered the clue.
- I typed in “4” for the number of letters.
- And boom–it was “Ming”.
I mean, it was pretty obvious, but it was still satisfying to see it *’s a bit of a cheat, using these solver sites, but hey, I’m not entering any crossword competitions! It was just a fun little time-killer.
