Alright, so you wanna know how I got to that new Arlecchino boss fight? Took me a bit to figure it out myself, wasn’t just sitting there on the map, you know.
First off, I needed those materials she drops. You know how it is, new character comes out, gotta farm the new boss. So, I logged in, checked the Adventurer Handbook, but she wasn’t listed there initially. Weird, right?
So, I figured it must be tied to a quest. Checked my quest log, nothing screaming “ARLECCHINO BOSS FIGHT HERE”. Classic. What I found out pretty quick is you absolutely need to have the main Fontaine story quests done. Like, all the Archon Quests for that region. If you’re behind on those, well, you gotta catch up first. No shortcuts there, unfortunately.
After I made sure my main story was up to date (which it was, thankfully), I started looking around the map, especially in the newer areas of Fontaine that dropped with the patch. I remembered there was this place called the ‘Faded Castle’ area, seemed like a likely spot.
Turns out, you gotta trigger a specific World Quest. For me, it started automatically when I got close to a certain area in Petrichor, that little village. It’s called something like “Canticles of Harmony” I think? Yeah, that sounds right.
This quest chain is pretty long, gotta be honest. Lots of talking, lots of exploring those underwater ruins and the castle itself. You follow this cat, talk to some statues… typical ancient civilization stuff.
- Started the quest in Petrichor.
- Followed the quest markers, did a lot of exploring inside the Faded Castle.
- Solved some simple puzzles, nothing too brain-breaking.
- Fought some new enemy types along the way.
- Eventually, the quest line leads you deeper and deeper underground.
After a good chunk of questing, maybe an hour or two depending on how fast you go, you finally reach the bottom level. It opens up into this big, kinda spooky arena.
And bam! There it is. The Trounce Domain entrance for Arlecchino. You just walk up to it, interact, and it unlocks. A teleport waypoint pops up right nearby too, which is super convenient for farming later.
So yeah, that’s the whole process I went through. Main steps: finish Fontaine Archon Quests, then head to Petrichor and start the “Canticles of Harmony” World Quest chain. Follow that questline all the way through the Faded Castle until it leads you straight to the boss domain. Wasn’t too hard, just took some time doing the quest. Good luck farming!
