Okay, so I’ve been a pretty big fan of Black Clover for a while now, finished Season 4 and, like a lot of folks, started wondering, “Alright, when’s Season 5 dropping?” Naturally, I wanted to find out, maybe even find one of those countdown things.
My Hunt for the Date
First thing I did was the obvious stuff. I fired up my browser and started searching. Typed in things like “Black Clover Season 5 release date,” “when is Black Clover coming back,” you know, the usual searches.
I hit up some of the big anime news sites, places that usually have the scoop. Scrolled through a bunch of articles. Found lots of talk, lots of people asking the same question I was.
Then I checked the official sources, or what I thought were official. Maybe the studio’s site, or the official Black Clover social media pages. Didn’t see any big announcements there. No banners saying “Season 5 Coming Soon!” or anything like that.
Digging Deeper
Okay, so the easy routes didn’t give me a solid date. Then I remembered the movie, “Sword of the Wizard King,” came out. For a bit, I thought maybe that was the continuation, but nah, it seemed like a side story, not Season 5.
So, back to searching. I started seeing more chatter about the manga. Turns out, the anime basically caught right up to where the manga was when Season 4 ended. That usually means a break, right? Gotta let the manga get further ahead so the anime has material to adapt.
I also read somewhere that the manga itself switched magazines or something, slowing down its own release schedule. That definitely didn’t sound like good news for the anime coming back quickly.
Rumors and Waiting Game
While searching, I definitely stumbled across:

- Some fan sites claiming they had a date, but nothing looked official.
- Maybe even a fake countdown timer or two on less reputable sites (learned to ignore those pretty fast).
Basically, lots of talk, lots of hope, but nothing concrete from the people who actually make the show.
Where Things Stand Now
After all that digging around, the bottom line seems to be: there’s no official release date for Black Clover Season 5 right now. Not even a confirmation that it’s actively being made, though most folks assume it will happen eventually because it’s popular.
So, my whole process of trying to find that countdown led me to realize… there’s nothing to count down to yet. It’s just a waiting game. Guess I’ll just keep an eye on the official news channels and wait patiently with everyone else. Kinda disappointing not to find a date, but at least I know the situation now.
