Okay, so I wanted to get a better look at Rhea Ripley’s 2017 run, so I dove right in.

Digging for Gold (aka Finding Footage)
First things first, I needed to actually, you know, find some of her 2017 matches and appearances. It wasn’t like everything was just neatly organized in one place. I spent a good chunk of time just hunting down what I could.
The Deep Dive
Once I had a decent collection, I started watching. I mean, really watching. Not just skimming through, but paying attention. I took notes about the following:
- Moveset:What moves was she using frequently? Anything that stood out as unique or particularly effective?
- Ring Presence:How did she carry herself? Did she look confident? Intimidating?
- Crowd Interaction: Did she play to the crowd? Heel or face, how did she get them involved?
- Overall Style:How would I describe her overall wrestling style back then? Grindy? High-flying? Powerful?
I had watched, and watched, and watched. I scribbled down notes, rewound key moments, and just tried to soak it all in.
Putting It All Together
After going through everything, I start to put all of that into several simple words.
